Mexican Pacific League Championship


Fernando Salas (Memphis-Hermosillo) entered in the sixth and pitched to one batter, striking him out for the hold (1). (ir-s:2-0)


Edgar Gonzalez (Former Springfield-Mazatlan) started at second base and batted third.  0-for-5 with two strikeouts and assisted in one double play.

Barranquilla beat Monteria 17-2: El Heraldo Post Game

Adron Chambers (Palm Beach-Barranquilla) hit a two-run home run with Shorey on base.

Mark Shorey (Memphis) and Donovan Solano (Memphis) each scored runs for Barranquilla.

Chris Swauger (Palm Beach-Barranquilla) was gunned down at home plate.


Javier Colina (Former Memphis-Monteria) was named MVP of the Round Robin portion of the tournament.  Colina went 20-for-48 (.417) with five doubles, three home runs, 14 RBIs, and scored 14 runs.: Team Renteria

Puerto Rican League Playoffs


Raul Gonzalez (Former Memphis-Carolina) started in left field and batted fifth.  3-for-5 with one RBI and one strikeout.

Armando Rios (Former Memphis-Carolina) started in right field and batted eighth.  2-for-4 with one run and one walk.

Ivan Maldonado (Former MiLB Spring Invite-Carolina) entered in the seventh and pitched to two batters.  He allowed no hits or runs, and struck one out. (g/f:0-1)(ir-s:1-0)


Caguas beat Carolina 5-4

Miguel Negron (Former MLB Spring Invite-Arecibo) started in left field and batted second.  0-for-2 at the plate.

D'Angelo Jimenez (Former Memphis-Arecibo) started at third base and batted fifth.  0-for-2 at the plate.

Mike Smith (Former Memphis-Arecibo) started and pitched 2.2 innings.  He allowed three hits, two earned runs, two walks, and struck out one. (g/f:6-1)
