Catching Flies with Colby Rasmus

St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Colby Rasmus recaps his rookie season and his off-season training.

It was somewhat of a roller coaster of a rookie season for the St. Louis Cardinals' Colby Rasmus. The 23-year-old received sporadic playing time during the first part of his debut before eventually settling in as the team's everyday centerfielder. He struggled at the plate at times, especially against left-handed pitching. Rasmus also experienced a setback due to problems with a hiatal hernia.

The native Alabamian saved his best for the postseason. The left-handed hitter posted a line of .444/.545/.778, proving to be one of the team's most productive hitters.

As the 2010 season approaches, Rasmus took time to speak at the team's annual Winter Warm-Up.
