Memphis Redbirds Championship Ring Ceremony

Manager Chris Maloney and his 2009 Pacific Coast League champion Memphis Redbirds received their rings in Jupiter, Florida and we were there!

On the Roger Dean Stadium field prior to Tuesday afternoon's game against Washington, the St. Louis Cardinals had a ceremony to award 2009 Pacific Coast League championship rings to manager Chris Maloney and his 2009 Memphis Redbirds. General manager John Mozeliak, vice president of scouting and player development Jeff Luhnow and director of minor league operations John Vuch officiated.

On this day, a number of the Redbirds were still wearing St. Louis uniforms, reminding us that spring training will likely be the last time these players will be together in one place. Luhnow mentioned he saw former Redbird, now Marlins property, Brian Barden the other day and awarded him his ring at that time.
