Memphis enjoys a day off. Springfield slips by to end three-game slide. Palm Beach coughs up nine runs in fifth for loss. Quad Cities clubs four homers and gets four innings of no-hit ball from Daniel Calhoun, but errors and bullpen falter for loss.

Individual Highlights:

Adron Chambers 2-for-3 with one run, one walk, and was picked off.

Colt Sedbrook 1-for-4 with one RBI and one run.

Curt Smith 2-for-4 with one double and one run.

Jim Rapoport 1-for-4 with one two-out RBI.

Scott Gorgen started and pitched 5.2 innings.  He allowed five hits, two runs (one earned), one home run, four walks, committed one throwing error, struck out seven, and picked one off for the winning decision (4-0).  (p-s:104-59)(g/f:2-5)

Eduardo Sanchez entered in the eighth and pitched two innings.  He allowed two hits, no runs, and struck out three for the save (5). (p-s:24-18)(g/f:3-0)

 

Rough Outing:
