Quad Cities Matt Adams is Wednesday's Player of the Day as he reached base six times in a doubleheader. The clubs went 2-3 overall.

The Redbirds won their third straight over the visiting Isotopes. Josh Kinney blew his second save of the season by giving up a run in the eighth, but was awarded the win when Memphis got the run back in the bottom of the inning on a Ruben Gotay RBI single. Oneli Perez collected the save.

Shaun Garceau issued nine walks, uncorked three wild pitches and hit a batter in five innings but miraculously managed to escape with just two NWA runs on the board, both of which scored on wild pitches. The Cardinals offense struggled with runners in scoring position, going just 1-for-8 while stranding nine on base.

Starter Brian Broderick took the loss, but had no offensive air cover. The Cardinals left their bats in the clubhouse, mustering just six hits and collecting just one walk on Wednesday afternoon.

Cardinals April Pitcher of the Month Scott Schneider had an inning to forget as he yielded five runs in the seventh inning to help turn a 2-2 tie into a Wisconsin home victory. The River Bandits offense got five runs back over the final two innings, but couldn't quite close the gap as the relievers faltered again.

Down 7-1 after two innings as starter Eric Fornataro faltered, the Bandits scored eight in the final two innings for the comeback win. Quad Cities hitters drew 11 walks. Manager Johnny Rodriguez was ejected in the fifth inning and outfielder Devin Shepherd was tossed in the sixth in the wild contest.
