David Kopp pitched Springfield to a home win as the system went 3-2 on Wednesday.

The home Grizzlies plated three in the sixth to erase a 3-1 Redbirds lead as Evan MacLane took the loss. Tyler Greene had two hits and Amaury Cazana plated two.

The Cardinals returned home and got out ahead quickly, scoring three in the first. Starter David Kopp tied his season best, going seven innings, while allowing just one earned run on five hits. He also set a season high with eight strikeouts. Steven Hill capped off a 4-for-4 day with a solo home run and Antone DeJesus blasted his first home run of a the season, a two-run shot, for Springfield's final two runs. Casey Mulligan pitched the final two innings, striking out five, including the side to end to game, to earn his first save of the season.
