Quad Cities' Eric Fornataro tossed five innings of no-hit ball as the system went 2-2 on Thursday.

The Redbirds lost their second consecutive in Fresno. Lance Lynn gave up five runs in five innings. Offensively, Memphis couldn't get a key hit as they went a collective 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position.

Nick Additon and Thomas Eager each allowed a solo home run to the Hooks' German Duran. Mike Folli drove in both Cardinals runs and Aaron Luna gunned down a Corpus Christi runner at the plate as Springfield's two-game winning streak ended.

Eric Fornataro did not allow a hit in five innings. Anderson Hidalgo's one-out double in the eighth off Jesse Simpson broke up the no-hitter and was the Snappers' only hit on the evening. Quad Cities pitchers walked six and collected nine strikeouts. The Bandits offense was 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position, but offered just enough to win.
