The Redbirds lost their fourth straight as Ryan Kulik's Triple-A introduction was very bumpy. In fact, outfielder Mark Shorey, who took the mound for the final inning, was the only one of four Redbirds "pitchers" not to be scored upon with multiple runs. The visiting Isotopes pounded out 19 hits.

The Double-A club was on the right end of a blow out as they put up crooked numbers in four different innings. Aaron Miles' bases-clearing double opened up the scoring for the home club and the former St. Louis Cardinal drove in five on the night. Leadoff man Adron Chambers scored three times. Brian Broderick was the beneficiary of the offensive onslaught, picking up the win in his Double-A debut despite an ERA of 7.20 in the evening.
