The Cardinals farm system went 1-6 as Lance Lynn, Amaury Cazana, Ryde Rodriguez, Colin Walsh, Joey Bergman, Rainel Rosario, Justin Edwards, Cody Stanley, Chris Edmondson, Luis Pimentel, Jorge Lopez, and Eduardo Hiraldo starred on Thursday.

Justin Wright (47th rounder-Virginia Tech-Hyannis) started and pitched five innings.  He allowed six hits, three earned runs, and struck three out for the losing decision (1-1). (p-s:79-49)

Notes:

The Daily News' Alanna Stage tells me that starter Justin Edwards was tagged by another hit.  He was knocked out of his first start of the 2010 season after being hit with a line drive.  This time around he stuck it out.

 

The Batavia Muckdogs are no longer using the tandem system, according to WGR 550 AM Sports Radio's Pat Malacaro, news our subscribers were tipped off about earlier this week as Jeff Luhnow said it would likely be occurring during an interview on our site.
