Interview: Batavia Manager Dann Bilardello

The boss of the Cardinals New York-Penn League affiliate, the Batavia Muckdogs, discusses his club, locked in a tight pennant battle.

The last time I spoke at length with Batavia Muckdogs manager Dann Bilardello, his 2010 club was plodding along with just a 10-13 record. Since then, his young men went on a 17-4 tear in the New York-Penn League that put them in the thick of a three-way battle at the top of the Pinckney Division with Williamsport (Phillies) and Jamestown (Marlins).

In this exclusive audio interview, Bilardello discusses how and why his team has improved and provides injury updates on a number of players including Audry Perez, Geoff Klein, Adam Melker, Mike O'Neill and Tyler Lyons, recent roster changes and much more. We also touch on his past experiences managing in winter ball.
