Tennessee's bullpen tossed nine shutout innings as the Smokies rallied from a 3-0 deficit for an extra inning win.
Scoring. Two doubles and three singles plated three runs for Huntsville in the second. Justin Bour knocked in a pair of runs in the third with a two-out single and then drew a bases loaded walk to knot the game at 3-3 in the seventh. Pinch-hitter Jair Hernandez coaxed a bases loaded walk in the 11th to put the Smokies up 4-3 and a fielder's choice added another run.
Pitching: Kyle Hendricks lasted only two innings allowing five hits and one walk on 51 pitches. He was charged with three earned runs. Kevin Rhoderick had his best relief outing of the season allowing a walk and a hit batter in two scoreless innings. The right-hander had given up six earned run in his last two games on four hits and three walks. Marcus Hatley pitched for the first time in a week tossing 1.2 innings (0H 0R 3BB 2K) before being relieved by Tony Zych with two outs in the sixth. Zych kept the scoreless relief streak going, not allowing a base runner in 2.1 innings with a strikeout. Trey McNutt added two shutout innings with a hit and a walk. Frank Batista notched his third save working the final inning.

Quad Cities scored a run in the top of the tenth and won its fifth straight game against the Cougars.
Scoring: The River Bandits grabbed a 5-0 lead in the second as the first five hitters in the inning scored, two on Areil Ovando's homer. Wilson Contreras blasted a three-run shot in the bottom of the second and then Daniel Vogelbach brought home two runs with a single in the third to tie the game. Rock Shoulders put the Cougars ahead on a RBI single scoring Vogelbach and a wild pitch made it 7-5. Marco Hernandez got his third hit of the game, a run-scoring single in the fourth, plating Gioskar Amaya, who doubled. The Bandits got a pair of runs in the seventh and then tied the game in the eighth on a run-scoring double. A walk and another double plated the winning run in the tenth for QC.
Pitching: Lendy Castillo shook off a five-run second inning, when he allowed five hits, and turned in a gutsy outing going four innings. He gave up two more hits and walked a pair, but got six Bandits on strikes. Justin Amlung ran his scoreless inning streak to six innings but yielded two runs in the seventh on a pair of run scoring groundouts after a walk and a single. He then gave up the game-tying run in the eighth. Steve Perakslis (0-2) took the loss allowing a run in the tenth on a walk and a double. His final line was (2.1 IP, 2H 1ER, 1BB 1K)

Tampa had five triples and a homer as part of the 14-hit attack against Daytona.
Scoring: Yankees top prospect Gary Sanchez hit his third homer of the season, all off Daytona's P.J. Francescon, for a 2-0 Tampa lead in the first. Stephen Bruno extended his hitting streak to 12 games with a RBI single in the bottom of the inning for the Cubs. The Yankees added two more runs in the second with a pair of triples and a single. Zeke DeVoss got a run back for Daytona with a RBI single in the second, the third hit of the inning. The Yankees scored three more runs in the third, ripping two more triples. The Cubs sent 11 hitters to the plate in the third, scoring five times to tie the game at 7-7 as Tampa committed two errors and walked three. Dustin Geiger extended his hitting streak to 11 games with a RBI single and Javier Baez added a sacrifice fly. The Yankees added two runs in the fourth and put the game out of reach with four more runs in the eighth.
Pitching: PJ Francescon got the ball up and the Yankees teed off on the right-hander with eight hits and seven runs, including four triples and a homer in three innings. Francescon gave up one hit in five innings in his first start against Brevard County but the Yankees have tagged him for 16 hits and 13 runs in 8 IP. Eduardo Figueroa tossed three innings allowing three hits and two runs with four walks and two strikeouts. Austin Reed made his fourth appearance of the season but after a scoreless seventh, didn't make it after the eighth. He allowed four runs, two earned, and walked four with three hits. Sheldon McDonald finished the game with two walks and a strikeout.
