At the Plate: Bogusevic did all the heavy lifting for Iowa hitting a pair of two-run homers, one in the second and another in the seventh. Iowa added an insurance run in the ninth on a bases loaded ground out by J.C Boscan. Junior Lake upped his average to .433 with a 2-4 performance and has 11 hits in seven games since returning from the DL.

On the Mound: Rusin (5-6 3.38 ERA) had his best game of the season limiting the RedHawks to five hits with a walk and three strikeouts. He threw 84 pitches, 56 for strikes and got nine groundouts. Barret Loux made his first career relief appearance striking out the side but allowed a run on a walk and a single. Brian Schlitter (0-2 2.00) overcame an error and a hit, fanning the final two hitters.
Tennessee had the day of and open a five-game series at Smokies Park with Mississippi on Thursday.
High A—Fort Myers 6, Daytona 3; Game 2—Daytona, Fort Myers
Daytona missed a golden opportunity to move into first place in the North Division dropping a twin-bill to Fort Myers Wednesday night.
At the Plate: The Cubs had their chances in the first two innings but left five on base. They finally broke through in the third on a RBI single from Benjamin Carhart and a ground out RBI from Zeke DeVoss. Chadd Krist blasted a solo homer in the sixth, his first of the season. Daytona drew nine walks and were just 1-6 with RISP leaving 10 men on base.

On the Mound: Ben Wells (4-5 3.86 ERA) fanned four in the first three innings but never made it out of the fourth allowing a walk and three hits as Fort Myers scored five times. Carhart made an error allowing the second hitter to reach and Sheldon McDonald was greeted with a double, scoring the final run of the inning. Wells final line was (3.2 IP, 5H, 5R, 3ER, 2BB, 5K). McDonald allowed a run on four this and a walk in 1.2 IP and Larry Suarez (0-0 3.30 got the final four outs for Daytona, two on strikes.
At the Plate: John Andreoli figured in both of Daytona's first runs as he doubled and scored n on Tim Saunders single in the fifth and knocked in Wes Darvill in the sixth with a single. Zeke DeVoss added a two-run homer in the ninth, his third. Daytona drew 19 walks in the twin bill.

On the Mound: Matt Loosen (0-2 8.00) allowed a two-run homer but still pitched well after a tough FSL debut in his last start. Loosen allowed four hits and walked three but fanned six in four innings. Austin Reed (0-0 5.81) went the final three frames allowing three runs in the sixth. He fanned four but yielded four hits and a walk.
Low A—Kane County
Kane County's game with Burlington was postponed early Monday evening due to pending storms. The game will not be made up and two teams will meet in the series finale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
