Nov. 15 Cubs Recap

Marcus Hatley earned his sixth save in the Mexican Pacific League, Edwin Maysonet continues to hit in the Puerto Rican League, and Luis Valbuena had his second straight multi-hit game and is getting in work at second base in VWL.

Arizona Fall League

Had the day off. Mesa faces Surprise for the AFL championship. Kris Bryant has been named the league's Most Valuable Player.

Venezuelan Winter League

Luis Valbuena was 2-6 with a run and a walk in Lara's 13-12 loss to La Guaria in 13 innings. Valbuena played second base and had two hits for his second straight game since joining Lara.

Dominican Winter League

2B Arismendy Alcantara (.214) had a multi-hit game with two singles and drove in his third run in Licey's 6-2 win over Estrellas. LF Julio Borbon tripled and drove in a run, going 2-4 with a run scored. CF Junior Lake (.364) was 2-4 with two strikeouts for Estrellas.

Mexican Pacific Winter League

Marcus Hatley (1-1 2.77 ERA) earned his sixth save and second in as many days, pitching the ninth in Culiacan's 5-3 win over Guasave. Hatley only needed 15 pitches in the 9th, throwing 10 strikes. He walked one and fanned a pair.

Christian Villanueva pinch-hit in the ninth, flying out to center.

Puerto Rican Winter League

SS Edwin Maysonet (.342) went 3-5 with a double to keep his hot streak alive, now 10 for his last 22 at-bats. Despite the three hits, Santurce fell to Mayaguez 5-2.
