If Junior Lake had enough plate appearances he would be among the leaders in the Dominican Winter League in hitting as the centerfielder went 2-4, upping his average to .360.

Venezuelan Winter League

Luis Valbuena went 1-4 and knocked in a run in Lara's 6-3 victory over Caribes.

Dominican Winter League

Junior Lake had two singles, walked once, and scored a run in Estrellas' 5-1 win over Escogido. Marcos Mateo (3-0 1.06 ERA) entered the game with two outs in the 9th and got a strikeout for his 7th save.

Alberto Cabrera (0-0 6.75 ERA) allowed a solo homer in his inning of work during Toro's 6-5 win over Aguilas. The right-hander also yielded a single and struckout one.

Arismendy Alcantara sat out Licey's 12-9 win over Gigantes. The second baseman has only played one game since Nov 20 and is hitting .200/.231/.280 in 17 games. He has 10 hits in 50 at-bats.

Mexican Pacific Winter League

No Cubs prospects saw action. Cubs relief pitcher Marcus Hatley tweeted on Sunday he was headed home. Hatley pitched in 17 games for Culiacan, going 1-3 with a 3.94 ERA and six saves. In 16 innings, he fanned 19, surrendered four homers, and walked nine. Hatley split time between AA Tennessee and AAA Iowa in 2013, throwing 60.2 innings with 74 K and a BAA of .247.

Puerto Rican Winter League

Edwin Maysonet, Santurce, and Jonathan Mota, Ponce, had their game suspended after one inning due to wet grounds with Ponce leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first. Maysonet flied out to center in his only at-bat.
