The # 2 pick overall in the 2013 draft committed two errors in his pro debut for Mesa and then fanned five times in his first game for Boise. Before he left Boise, he named Northwest League Player of the Week and earned the same award his first week in Class A Daytona. He played in 36 games in Mesa, Boise and Daytona, hitting .336/.390/.688 with nine homers and 32 RBI. The 21-year-old dominated pitching in the AFL hitting .364/.457/.727 with six homers and 56 total bases, both tops in the league. He also led the AFL in runs (22), SLG (.772) and OPS (1.184).
