Iowa saw their seven-game winning streak come to an end as Omaha rallied to take the second game of the double header after Tsuyoshi Wada added another gem to his AAA resume.
At the Dish: GAME 1—Iowa scored the only run of the game in the fourth when Chris Valaika (.342) singled, advanced to second on a ground, and scored on Matt Szczur's two-out RBI single. On the Hill: GAME 1—Tsuyoshi Wada fanned eight in five inning as the left-hander lowed his ERA to 0.57 while earning his fourth win. Not sure Wada can pitch any better and with no slots open in Chicago's rotation, I don't see him getting promoted anytime soon, especially without a spot on the 40-man roster. One injury can change all that......Iowa's bullpen took charge of the final two innings as Marcus Hatley earned his second hold tossing a 1-2-3 eighth inning and then Blake Parker recorded his fourth save in the ninth, allowing a hit to go along with a strikeout.; GAME 2—Carlos Pimentel didn't make it out of the fourth, working 3.2 frames with 77 pitches. He surrendered five runs (three earned) on six hits and three walks with four punchouts......Yoanner Negrin (0-1 3.60 ERA) tok the loss allowing two runs in the sixth and another in the seventh. He allowed six hits, one a homer, in 3.1 innings and fanned five.
