Javier Baez and Santurce punched their ticket to the Caribbean World Series with a 5-3 win on Tuesday night.

Puerto Rican Winter League Championship
Game 6—Santurce scored four runs in the bottom of the 8th to clinch the Puerto Rican WInter League title with a 5-3 win over Mayaguez. 2B Javier Baez went 0-for-4 and finished the playoffs hitting .203.

Venezuelan Winter League Championships
Game 4—Caribes grabbed a 3-1 series lead with an 8-4 win over Magallanes in the finals. No former or current Cubs saw action.

Dominican Winter League
Gigantes won the championship over Estrellas and will represent the DWL in the Caribbean World Series. No former or current Cubs on the roster.

Mexican Pacific Winter League
Culiacan won the championship over Jalisco and are headed to Puerto Rico for the Caribbean World Series that starts Feb. 2.. Former Cubs outfielder Dave Sappelt is on the roster for Culiacan.

Hot Stove News
The Red Sox traded RHP Anthony Ranaudo to the Rangers for LHP Robbie Ross. Considered on the of Boston’s top pitching prospect, Ranaudo made his debut in ’14 making seven starts (4-3, 3.81 ERA). Ross started 12 games for the Rangers and switched to the bullpen after some struggles (3-6, 6.20 ERA, 27 G...........The Royals and outfielder Jarod Dyson avoided arbitration and agreed on a one-year, $1.225 deal.....The Pirates traded OF Travis Snider to the Orioles for minor league left-hander Stephan Tarpley and a player to be named. Snider hit ,264 with 13 HR and 38 RBI in 140 games for Pittsburgh.
