A single by Jonathan Mota and an error by the right fielder allowed Mike Baxter to score the tying run all the way from first. Taylor Davis followed with a RBI single and Alcantara’s homer capped off the inning. Javier Baez went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts.
Pitching Chart: Tsuyoshi Wada pitched into the 6th and fanned six in his second straight rehab start. The left-hander allowed a solo homer, one of four hits. He threw 91 pitches, 60 for strikes, and walked two......Gonzalez German (3-0, 0.00 ERA) retired all four hitters he faced, two on strikes, and got credit for the win.....Blake Cooper earned his second hold with a 1-2-3 8th and Brian Schlitter earned his first save, recording a pair of punchouts in the 9th.

Southern League—AA— Pensacola (Reds) 5, Tennessee 4
Pensacola won on a walk-off single to erase a 4-0 first inning deficit as the Wahoos evened the six-game series at two games apiece.
Hitting Recap: Smokies scored all their runs in the first on a three-run double from RF Bijan Rademacher (.232) and a RBI single from SS Elliot Soto (.284). CF Albert Almora (.310) and C Kyle Schwarber (.329) both singled and scored in the first. Smokies only had two base runners after the first.
Pitching Chart: Corey Black was in line for the win, leaving after 100 pitches over five innings. He fanned seven but walked four, allowing three runs on four hits.....Fernando Cruz gave up an unearned run in the sixth and was charged with a blown save after an error and a wild pitch led to the tying run. Cruz fanned four over three innings. Stephen Perakslis (2-2, 6.23 ERA) only got two outs before a single, the third hit of the inning, scored the winning run.

Carolina League—High A—Myrtle Beach 2, Salem (Red Sox) 1—10 innings
Billy McKinney hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the 10th as Myrtle Beach beat Salem (14-13) for the third time in four games.
Hitting recap: Pelicans only had three hits, a RBI single from 1B Jacob Rogers in the sixth, a bunt single from Trey Martin to lead of the 9th and McKinney’s 4th homer of the season. Myrtle Beach drew 10 walks but were just 1-for-6 with RISP and left 10 on base.
Pitching chart: Duane Underwood (3-0, 1.29 ERA) only gave up three hits but one of those left the park, literally, as he threw 76 pitches over a season-high seven innings. He issued one walk and fanned four in his fifth start (28 IP)......RHP Juan Paniagua (NorthSiders Report # 22) made his first appearance since going on the DL April 19 and was hitting 95 on the stadium radar gun during his two scoreless innings....Michael Heesch (2-0, 1.13 ERA) continues to impress in High A earning the win with a 1-2-3 inning, needing only 9 pitches.

Midwest League—Low A—South Bend 3, Bowling Green (Rays) 2
Charcer Burks delivered a two-run single and Zach Hedges tossed five shutout innings as South Bend (15-13) took the opener at Bowling Green (17-11).
Hitting recap: Charcer Burks (.341) ripped a two-run single in the second and Rashad Crawford provided the difference with a RBI single in the sixth as eight different SB-Cubs had one hit each. SS Gleyber Torres single and walked in five plate appearances.
Pitching chart: Zach Hedges (2-1, 2.77 ERA) got the start and tossed five shutout innings, allowing three hits and two walks to go along with four strikeouts. He earned the win and recorded a game score of 63......Ryan McNeil allowed a run in two frames and Jordan Minch surrendered a run in 1.2 frames. James Farris needed only one pitch to earn his third save, getting a ground out to third to end the game.
