Pacific Coast League—AAA—Iowa 3, Omaha (Royals) 0
Iowa (64-51) won their fourth straight over Omaha (63-53), the second by shutout as Carlos Pimentel and three Iowa relievers blanked the Storm Chasers.
In the Box: Mike Olt slugged his sixth homer as the I-Cubs were held to four hits. Adorn Chambers delivered a RBI single in the first and another run scored on a double play groundout.
Pitching Chart: Carlos Pimentel (9-5, 3.05 ERA) blanked Omaha for seven innings, allowing just two hits and walk. He fanned three, got 11 fly ball outs and had a game score of 75......Joseph Ortiz got two outs in the 8th and Blake Cooper came in and got the final out of the inning......Brian Schlitter worked a 1-2-3 9th for his 17th save.

Southern League—AA—Tennessee 8, Jackson (Mariners) 3
Tennessee (21-21, 60-51) made it three straight over Jackson (13-28, 42-68) taking an early lead.
In the Box: Jeimer Candelario gave the Smokies a 3-0 lead in the first with his third AA homer to extended his hit streak to 14 games. Candelario added a RBI single. In 19 games since his promotion, the 21-year-old switch-hitter is batting .338/.378/.544 with three homers and 18 RBI......CF Albert Almora (.261) collected his fifth straight multi-hit game, going 2-for-3 with a RBI and three runs scored. Almora is 12-for-his-last-20.......DH Willson Contreras (.342) upped his RBI total to 62 with a pair and went 1-for-3 with a run scored to extend his hit streak to 13 games.
Pitching Chart: Rob Zastryzny (2-3, 4.58 ERA) won his second straight start, throwing 88 pitches as he worked into the seventh. The left-hander fanned a season-high seven and allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks. Game score 49......Starling Peralta (2.40 ERA) tossed two perfect frames and P.J. Francescon (1.01 ERA) worked a scoreless ninth as the bullpen shutdown the Generals.

Carolina League—High A—Myrtle Beach 10, Frederick (Orioles) 2
Daniel Lockhart had a career game with four hits and four RBI to lead Myrtle Beach (67-46) over Frederick (54-60).
In the Box: 2B Daniel Lockhart (.240) knocked in a career-high four runs and matched his career-best with four hits. The 22-year-old scored three times and one of the hits was a double......RF Chesny Young (.333) went 3-for-4 with two RBI while 3B Jason Vosler (.265), C Cael Brockmeyer (.243) and CF Trey Martin (.241) all had two hits.
Pitching Chart: Chart: Brad Markey (4-0, 1.01 ERA) only surrendered one run as the right-hander tossed six innings to remain unbeaten in five starts. Markey gave up five hits, walked two, and fanned five in the 81-pitch outing. Game score 61.....Michael Heesch (2.13 ERA) allowed a run in two innings and Josh Conway (2.93 ERA) worked around two hits and a walk in the ninth, ending the game with his second punchout of the inning.

Clinton (35-77) scored four runs in the 8th and left South Bend (30-60) with a win.
In the Box: Cubs 11th round pick Matt Rose made his MWL debut playing first base and batting fifth. In his first at-bat, Rose singled home two runs but went hitless the rest of the game.....RF Jeffrey Baez (.269) responded to his 0-for-5 performance on Saturday with three hits and two runs on Sunday......SS Gleyber Torres (.311) went 3-for-5 with a run and a RBI (58) while C Gioskar Amaya (.267) knocked in a run with a triple.
Pitching Chart: Zach Hedges (6-7, 3.81 ERA) made his 19th start and went five innings, allowing eight hits and two walks. Three runs scored off the right-hander but only one earned. He fanned six and had a game score 47.....Ryan McNeil (3.11 ERA) got charged with a blown save allowing two runs in two innings.....Michael Wagner (2-2, 3.46 ERA) took the loss, surrendering four runs in the eighth on five hits, one leaving the yard.

Eugene (23-26) scored four times in the first and beat Boise (17-32) in the series opener.
In the Box: The Emeralds wasted no time getting on the board as CF Donnie Dewees (.236) led off with a single, took second on Sutton Whiting’s (.143) sacrifice bunt that turned into a throwing error, and scored on Andrew Ely’s single. A Blake Headley (.238) groundout with the bases loaded, a wild pitch, and a sac fly by Tyler Alamo added three more runs. Another wild pitch and a sac fly by Dewees plated the final two runs. Kevonte Mitchell went 2-for-4 and Ely finished with two hits.
Pitching Chart: Ryan Kellogg (0-1, 7.07 ERA) went three innings for the first time as a pro, making his first appearance since July 30. The left-hander gave up three runs, two earned, on seven hits. Arizona Rookie League—Indians 8, Cubs 4
Indians (15-24) scored five times in the first to beat the Cubs (21-17).
In the Box: Cubs scored three times in the fifth on RBI singles from SS Andruw Monasterio (.208), C Marcus Mastrobuoni (.188), and 2B Carlos Sepulveda (.287). Sepulveda finished the night with three hits and Monasterio scored twice.
Pitching Chart: After tossing eight shutout innings over his last two appearances, Jesus Camargo (3-1, 3.55 ERA) got roughed up by the Indians, surrendering five runs in the first. He finished with a line of 4 IP, 5 H, 6 ER, 2 BB, 6 K.....Heath Dwyer (6.14 ERA), a non-drafted free agent out of VCU, made his fifth AZL appearance, allowing two runs in two innings......Jesus Castillo (4.20 ERA) kept the Tribe off the board the final two frames.
