Arizona Fall League
After a tough 2014 campaign that included a step back in the organization, 3B Jeimer Candelario put that all behind him and had his best season as a pro in 2015. Starting the year at Myrtle Beach, the 21-year-old hit .270/.318/.415 with 5 HR and 39 RBI in 82 games. He also played solid defense and in late July was promoted to AA. At Tennessee, Candelario displayed great plate discipline coaxing 22 walks while only striking out 21 times. He hit .291/.379/.462 with 5 HR and 25 RBI in just 46 games. Eligible for the Rule 5 draft, the Cubs will need to protect Candelario on the 40-man roster or risk losing the switch-hitting third base prospect.
