A sacrifice bunt and a squeeze bunt tied the game at 3-3. Williamson allowed a double to open the seventh and retired the next two hitters before Pedro Araujo was summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander got the final out of the inning but allowed a leadoff single to start the eighth before rain halted play. When  play resumed, Araujo returned to the mound and tossed two scoreless frames, fanning four. Jared Cheek walked the leadoff man in the tenth, followed by a sacrifice bunt, the Whitecaps fifth of the game, and a single gave WM a 4-3 lead and the series.
