Cubs News—Game 6 NLCS
Kyle Hendricks tossed a gem while Anthony Rizzo and Willson Contreras smacked solo homera as the Cubs blanked the Dodgers 5-0 to advance to the World Series. The Cubs will face the Indians on Tuesday night in Cleveland. Hendricks only allowed two hits over 7.1 innings and retired 17 straight at one point. Cubs grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first on a RBI single from Kris Bryant and a sacrifice fly from Ben Zobrist.
Arizona Fall League
Kyle Schwarber has been cleared to start “baseball activity” and the Cubs former first-round pick was taken off the 60-day DL and added to Mesa’s roster. Schwarber, who had knee surgery after colliding with Dexter Fowler early in the season, is a month ahead of schedule and saw his first action since the injury Saturday night at Sloan Park. Serving as the DH, the left-handed hitting Schwarber was 0-for-3 with a walk in four plate appearances. Cubs President Theo Epstein said there is a chance Schwarber could be added to the World Series roster but the Cubs aren’t going to do anything that could jeopardize his future. C Victor Caratini (.125) went 1-for-4 with a RBI in Mesa’s 7-2 loss to Salt River.

No Cubs prospects saw action on Saturday night.
Dominican Winter League
Stephen Fife got the start for Estrellas and fanned six over five innings, allowing a run on three hits. Fife, who didn’t figure in the decision, had a game score of 67 and recorded six ground ball outs in the 6-3 win over Escogido.
Mexican Pacific Winter League
DH Christian Villanueva (.278) singled, scored and knocked in a run in Obregon’s 8-4 win over Hermosillo.
