Ian Happ slugged a pair of homers to help lead Mesa to the Arizona Fall League title.

Arizona Fall League

LF Ian Happ saved his best game in the AFL for the title tilt. Happ homered from both sides of the plate, finished 4-for-4, and scored three times as Mesa beat Surprise 6-1. Happ slugged a two-run shot in the third and then launched a solo bomb in the seventh. He also doubled and singled. DH Eloy Jimenez went 0-for-4. RH James Farris got the final three outs, one on strikes. 

Venezuelan Winter League

Pinch-hitter Bryant Flete popped out in the ninth inning of Zulia’s 7-2 loss to Margarita.

Dominican Winter League

No Cubs prospects saw action.

Mexican Pacific Winter League

No Cubs prospects saw action.

Puerto Rican Winter League

CF Jacob Hannemann (.102) homered one day after being placed on the Cubs 40-man roster. It was the 25-year-old’s first homer and he ended the game 2-4. Santurce lost 6-5 in 10 innings to Mayaguez.....1B Yasiel Balaguert(.278) was 0-for-4 in Carolina’s 3-1 loss to Aguadilla.
