A check around the Cubs full-season minor league affiliates and two teams punch tickets to Caribbean World Series.

Around the Minors

South Bend—Looking for a summer job. South Bend is holding a series of job fairs to find part-time employees for Four Winds Field. Tennessee—The World Series trophy is coming to Smokies Stadium on Feb. 2. The Cubs have added the Smokies to the tour and the World Series hardware will help raise funds for the Gatlinburg and Sevier County wild fire relief. Compete details here.

Iowa—The Chicago Cubs World Series Trophy Tour will make a stop at Principal Park on Wednesday, Feb. 1.  The trophy will be at the Cub Club restaurant from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Fans will be allowed to take an individual photo or a group photo with the trophy—but not both. Staffers will be available to assist fans with their belongings and taking photos. The event is free. No ticket is required. The Chicago Cubs announced they will issue the first 500 fans a wristband to ensure their ability to see the trophy. The Chicago Cubs said additional fans will be accommodated if time permits.

Venezuelan Winter League

Zulia clinched a berth in the Caribbean World Series with a 5-2 win over Lara in Game 5 of the series. 

Dominican Winter League

Licey scored four times in the bottom of the eighth and beat Aguilas 5-2 to grab a 4-2 series lead in the best-of-nine series. 2B Chesny Young (.318) went 2-for-4 with a RBI for Aguilas.

Mexican Pacific Winter League

In Game 4, Mexicali evened the best-of-seven series with a 6-1 win over Los Mochis.

Puerto Rican Winter League

In Game 8, Henry Ramos ripped a walk-off single in the bottom of the 12th as Caguas punched their ticket to the Caribbean World Series with a 6-5 win over Santurce.   RH Miguel Mejia had his scoreless streak snapped, allowing two runs on four hits in 1.1 innings for Caguas.
