The game was delayed 14 minutes while he was attended too. Poncedeleon was drafted by the Cubs in 2013 but didn’t sign after failing his physical. I-Cubs Notes: Iowa has Wednesday off and they head to Salt Lake for a Thursday night tilt……Cubs have released C Carlos Corporan. Signed as a free agent with a invite to spring training during the off-season, Corporan started the year on Iowa’s DL and had been rehabbing at extended spring training.

After a slow start (11-69 in April, .159), Wilson is starting to heat up, extending his hit streak to five games with a double and is 10 for his last 26.

Pitching Chart: Duncan Robinson (3-1, 1.52 ERA) had his best outing as a professional, setting career-highs in innings pitched and strikeouts. SB-Cubs News: Bryan Hudson (0-1, 6.92 ERA) makes his fourth start for South Bend on Wednesday morning. The 20-year-old is coming off his best outing, allowing one earned run over five innings with six strikeouts and eight ground ball outs. The 6-foot-8 lefty sports a fastball in the low 90s and needs to keep the ball down in the zone to be effective. Consistently pounding the strike zone was a problem for Hudson last year in Eugene, issuing 41 walks in 58.2 innings and he’s walked nine in 13 frames at South Bend.
