Daytona Cubs Announce 2005 Schedule

The 2004 Florida State League co-champion Daytona Cubs announced their 2005 minor league schedule just days ago. Inside is a look at when and where the Cubs will be playing come next summer.

Once again, the Brevard County Manatees are no stranger to the Cubs. Daytona will square off against the Milwaukee Brewers' new Class-A affiliate a total of twenty times in 2005, more than any other FSL affiliate. The Cubs will open the season with four straight against the Manatees, the first two coming on the road in Melbourne, Fla. with the following two games kicking off the first homestand of the year for manager Steve McFarland's club.

Also of note, the Cubs will be participating in noticeably more Sunday night games as opposed to the 2PM ET contests from this past season.
