Daytona Cubs to Broadcast 2005 All-Star Game

The Daytona Cubs Professional Baseball team is pleased to announce plans to broadcast the 44th annual Florida State League All-Star Game live from Bright House Networks Field in Clearwater, Florida on June 18.

The game will be broadcast on the radio and Internet through WELE 1380 AM located in Ormond Beach, Fla. Internet listeners will be able to access full coverage of the action through a streaming link on the Daytona Cubs homepage, www.daytonacubs.com, or on the hosting Clearwater Threshers homepage, www.threshersbaseball.com.

Covering the game will be the voice of the Daytona Cubs, Bo Fulginiti. This marks the second consecutive year that the Daytona Cubs and Bo Fulginiti, under the direction of the Big Game Capital Ownership group, have teamed up to broadcast the Florida State League All-Star Game. The pre-game show will begin at 6:45 p.m. EST, and the game is expected to start at 7:15.

"We are ecstatic to be teaming up with the Clearwater Threshers and the Florida State League to provide live play-by-play coverage of the All-Star game for the second year in a row," said Daytona Cubs General Manager Bill Papierniak. "Bo does a great job behind the microphone for us and has developed quite a following of listeners from around the league, so we are expecting a big response from this."

This is Bo Fulginiti's second season with the Daytona Cubs and his third season covering minor league baseball. Fulginiti previously worked as a broadcaster for the Savannah Gnats of the South Atlantic League before serving as the assistant producer at ESPN Regional Television in Charlotte, North Carolina where he covered Big Ten Conference Football.
