MESA, Ariz. -- With less than a week to go until the start of regular season minor league play, outfield prospect Chris Walker is hard at work trying to perfect the art of bunting atop the order in addition to cutting back on his strikeouts. (Windows Media Player recommended for listening.)
The speedy leadoff hitter has hit above .280 in each of the last two seasons with the Cubs' two full-season Class-A affiliates and stolen 60 bases both years.
With minor league rosters scheduled to be announced this weekend, the 25-year-old Walker is hoping to cut down on his 111 strikeouts a season ago while trying to better himself at bunting.
