Quick Hits: Audio Q&A with Thomas Atlee

Thomas Atlee is a hard-throwing right-hander that has progressed a level most every year since he was drafted in 2002. Atlee was one of two noteworthy players selected by the Cubs that year from Lamar University, joining Iowa teammate Micah Hoffpauir.

The 26-year-old Atlee overcame a lot after his first professional season with the Cubs in Low A. He injured his elbow and required Tommy John Surgery, which caused him to miss the entire 2003 season.

Atlee returned in 2004 and saved 15 games for Class A Daytona before moving up to Double-A midway through 2005. He began this year at West Tenn and was promoted to Triple-A Iowa last month.
