METAIRIE, La. -- Two former starters in their minor league careers are at Triple-A Iowa this season. One has yet to allow an earned run through his first 10 innings in relief this season, while the other is trying to get back to his old self.
Left-hander Carmen Pignatiello began 2007 at Double-A Tennessee, where he appeared in five games and did not allow an earned run over 6 2/3 innings before earning a promotion to Triple-A.
Meanwhile, right-hander Randy Wells began the year in the Iowa starting rotation last month, but has since been moved into the bullpen where he's been forever more comfortable.
