Many Faces in Cubs Extended Spring Training

There was a litany of Chicago Cubs minor league players who remained in Arizona after full-season affiliate rosters were announced earlier this month. Those players that missed the cut for a full-season team out of spring training will be looking for a spot with another Cubs affiliate (likely Boise or the Arizona Rookie League's Mesa Cubs) in June once short-season ball begins.

Official records and statistics from the Cubs' extended spring training camp are not kept. The positional breakdown of the Cubs extended spring training roster includes: 27 pitchers, five catchers, nine infielders, and nine outfielders.
