The biggest move was dropping right fielder Milton Bradley from third to sixth in the order. Bradley entered the game batting just .232, and he is 1-for-16 on the current road trip.
Manager Lou Piniella also said the switch-hitting Bradley will get Tuesday and possibly Wednesday off to work with hitting coach Von Joshua on his left-handed swing.
First baseman Derrek Lee moved back up to the No. 3 spot in the order from the cleanup spot, where Piniella inserted Jake Fox, who got the start at third base after DH'ing Sunday against the White Sox.
Ryan Freel saw his first action in center field for the Cubs, batting seventh.
Piniella indicated that newly recalled Sam Fuld will start in center Tuesday night and that Kosuke Fukudome will move from center to right for Tuesday's game.
CUBS 3, PIRATES 1: Rich Harden won for the first time since May 12. He pitched seven innings, giving up nine hits and one run. Harden struck out nine. SS Ryan Theriot homered, and RF Milton Bradley had an RBI double. Kevin Gregg earned his 13th save.
—3B Aramis Ramirez will take batting practice all three days in Pittsburgh, and if that goes well, the Cubs will send Ramirez on a minor-league rehab assignment. Ramirez has been out since dislocating his left shoulder May 8. The Cubs want Ramirez to get at least 20 at-bats in the minor leagues, meaning it's possible he could return to the Cubs late next week.
—RHP Carlos Zambrano's streak of five straight quality starts ended. In his previous four starts, he went at least seven innings. Zambrano said he did not feel as sharp Sunday as he had in recent outings.
—INF Aaron Miles was put on the 15-day disabled list with a hyperextended right elbow and the Cubs recalled OF Sam Fuld from Class AAA Iowa (Des Moines). The DL move is retroactive to June 21. Fuld played in 14 games for the Cubs in 2007. This is Miles' second stint on the DL this year. The Cubs had contemplated bringing IF Bobby Scales back from Iowa, but they felt they had enough infield depth. Fuld pinch ran and played center late in Monday's game.

—Fox played third base and batted cleanup after serving as the DH Sunday against the White Sox. After going 0-for-8 in his last two games, Fox singled twice and scored a run.
—SS Ryan Theriot hit a one-out solo homer in the third inning. It was Theriot's seventh homer of the season, by far his career best, but his first since June 7.
—RHP Angel Guzman might be able to begin a minor-league rehab assignment as early as Thursday. Guzman has been on the disabled list since June 21 with a right-triceps strain. Before the injury, Guzman had taken over as a key seventh- and eighth-inning reliever. --The Sports XChange
