He has struck out 53 compared to 20 walks and has held the opponent to a .239 batting average (16-for-67) with runners in scoring position.
Samardzija begins his second stint with the Cubs this season, as he made five relief appearances for Chicago from April 23-May 6, and logged an 8.10 ERA (3 ER/3.1 IP) with no record.
