Victor Oladipo, 6-4, 100, Dematha Catholic (Md.) H.S. – Oladipo had his quieted game of the year with only two points, but that didn't keep DeMatha from dominating Bishop Ireton in an 84-50 win. DeMatha led 27-6 after one quarter and 45-16 at halftime on its way to its seventh straight win to open the season. DeMatha is ranked No. 16 nationally according to USA Today and returns to action Tuesday when it faces St. John's (D.C.), which is 7-1. Oladipo is averaging 8.8 points/game in the early going.

Will Sheehey, 6-6, 190, Sagemont (Fla.) Upper School– Sheehey had 16 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as Sagemont (7-2) dropped an 80-66 decision to USA Today's 13th-ranked team in the nation, St. Benedict's (N.J.) in the opening round of the City of Palms Classic. St. Benedict's was led by Scout.com's third-ranked point guard in the 2011 class, Texas-bound Myck Kabongo, who scored 27. Sagemont returns to action in the event on Monday. Earlier in the week, Sheehey had 13 points and six steals to help lead Sagemont to an easy 82-28 win over Calvary Christian last Tuesday. Sheehey is averaging 21.0 points and 11.0 rebounds/game since his return from an ankle injury.

Matt Carlino, 6-2, 180, Bloomington (Ind.) South H.S. - Carlino was one of four players in double figures in Class 4A No. 1 and USA Today's No. 10 Bloomington South's 86-55 win over Jeffersonville. Carlino had 13 points and two rebounds, while Dee Davis led South with 26 points, eight assists and six steals. Carlino struggled from the floor, making 4-of-13 overall and 2-of-8 from behind the 3-point arc. The defending state champions improved to 6-0 with the win. Earlier this weekend, Carlino had 14 points, one rebound, and five assists in a 76-66 win over Lawrence Central. On the season, Carlino is averaging 14.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists and is shooting 50.8 percent from the field (31-of-61) and 39.3 percent from behind the 3-point arc (11-of-28).

Austin Etherington,6-6, 190, Hamilton Heights (Ind.) H.S. - One week after pouring in 35 in a win over Tri-Central, Etherington scored 34 to lead Hamilton Heights to an 81-68 win over Western H.S. Etherington connected on four 3-pointers to help Hamilton Heights to its third straight win. That three-game winning streak ended the following night, as Noblesville handed Hamilton Heights a 40-38 overtime setback. Etherington was limited to 15 points in the game and is among the state's leaders in scoring at 24.0 points/game.

Other Notables: With Cincinnati Coach Mick Cronin in attendance, Muncie Central H.S. junior Jeremiah Davis had 13 points and five assists to lead his team to a 50-40 win over Delta. The win helped ease the disappointment from Friday night, when New Castle's Jordan Hahn hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from the corner to give the Trojans a 43-42 win over Muncie Central. Davis was limited to four points and one rebound while committing seven turnovers in the setback...Washington (Ind.) junior Cody Zeller scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half and had 15 rebounds to lead his Class 3A second-ranked team to a 67-51 win over Evansville Bosse. One night later, Zeller scored 21 more to lead Washington (7-0) to a 66-31 win over Sullivan… Indiana Elite teammate Marshall Plumlee had his biggest game of the season early last week, going off for 21 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocks in Christ School's 96-60 win over Asheville Christian Academy. Christ School followed that up with wins over Greenville H.S. and Norfolk Christian to improve to 11-1. Christ School is ranked 21st nationally according to USA Today…D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera scored 20 points to help Indianapolis North Central H.S. to an 88-61 win over Hamilton Southeastern…Park Tudor sophomore Yogi Ferrell was once again a one-man show, scoring 65 points on the weekend to lead his team to a pair of wins. On Friday Ferrell scored 37 in a 61-52 win over Guerin Catholic, and he followed that up with 28 in his team's 57-50 over over Covenant Christian on Saturday…Ron Patterson scored 14 including one 3-pointer to help Broad Ripple (4-1) to a 69-60 win over Northwest…Jeremy Hollowell's 17 points helped Lawrence Central open a 38-33 halftime lead on No. 1 Bloomington South Friday night before South regrouped to win 76-66…Avon's Austin Burgett scored 22 on 9-of-16 shooting and had 13 rebounds to lead his team to a 71-56 win over Northview Saturday night.
