Montero, who injured his finger way back in winter ball, played in his first extended spring training game on Monday, April 7. The Diamondbacks hope that he can return towards the beginning of May.
Tracy is now suffering from a viral infection, which has set back the rehab of his lingering knee injury. There is still no timetable for Tracy's return.
CJ was forced from Wednesday's game after getting plunked just below his left ring finger. He returned to the starting lineup Friday, going 0-for-3 with a sacrifice fly.
Drew got held out of the lineup on Wednesday due to tightness in his hamstring. He returned as the team's #8 hitters Friday, reaching base three times in four trips to the plate.
The Big Unit made his second and final final Triple-A rehab start Wednesday night. He allowed three runs on three hits while striking out seven batters over six innings. Johnson said he was able to reach 89-92 MPH on his fastball, in addition to effectively using his slider, splitter, and changeup. The Diamondbacks expect Johnson to come off the disabled list and start Monday, April 14th against the helpless Giants' offense.
"Doug is awake and doing well," team physician Michael Lee said after the operation, performed by Dr. Bob Evani. "The only complaint he had was a mild sore throat, which is expected. He will likely be released (Friday) and will begin follow-up treatments at that point."
Doctors were expected to remove all or part of Davis' thyroid gland, but specifics of the surgery were left for a press conference scheduled for Friday. They have said Davis can expect a four- to six-week recovery period.
Davis, who had a quality start and also had two singles and a sacrifice bunt in an 8-2 victory over the Dodgers on Tuesday, said after the game his target date to return was the May 9-11 series at Wrigley Field.
