Rosa Added to D-backs Bullpen

In what may be the first of several moves to overhaul the worst bullpen in the majors, the Arizona Diamondbacks recalled right-handed pitcher Carlos Rosa from Triple-A Reno and optioned right-handed pitcher Daniel Stange to the Reno Aces

Carlos Rosa, 25, has a combined 2-1 record and 2.76 ERA with 14 strikeouts in 16.1 innings during nine games this season for Reno and Triple-A Omaha. He was acquired in a trade from the Kansas City Royals for minor league infielder Rey Navarro on May 1. Since joining the Aces, Rosa has allowed four hits while walking two and striking out four over 4.0 innings in three games. Rosa, who will wear No. 49, has posted a combined 0-0 record with a 3.21 ERA over 9 games out of the bullpen for the Royals in 2008 and 2009.
