Four Dodgers on 2010 Runs Created Chart

Four minor leaguers earned slots on the Run Created list with their efforts in 2010. First baseman John Lindsey and third baseman Russ Mitchell, who played in Albuquerque, and Infielder Jerry Sands and outfielder Kyle Russell, who saw both saw action at Chattanooga.

Sands, who had 114.53 runs created to lead the class of 2010, is now fourth; Lindsey (102.30) is 11th on the list and also 11th (105.20) in 2008 and 15th for his 98.10 performance in 2007; Mitchell (97.96) is 16th and Russell (97.88) is 17th, topping his 96.18 mark in 2009.

Brian Cavazos-Galvez, Great Lakes; Jamie Hoffman and Jay Gibbons, Albuquerque; Angel Songco Great Lakes, Trayvon Robinson Chattanooga and Blake Smith, Great Lakes fill out the 2010 top 10. Robinson's 96.56 at Inland Empire and Chattanooga earned him the 19th slot in 2009.

Runs created derive from a formula that takes into account total bases, walks and hits combined with times at bat.

The top 25, reaching back to the 1993 season, is topped by Adam Riggs who has a monster season at Santa Barbara in 1995, recording 134.50 runs created. Phil Hiatt put up 126.52 RC in 2001 and Bill Ashley who had 115.34 for Albuquerque in 1994 occupy the top three slots. Paul Konerko's 108.19 in 1997 fills out the top five.

Ron Coomer, Delwyn Young, Joe Thurston, Lindsey and Luis Garcia complete the top 10. Brian Traxler's 93.92 in 1992 is the oldest record on the list.
