Lilly's Longballs Lead to LA Loss

Rough day for Lilly. The Dodgers had a little offense but couldn't come from behind. 8 hits weren't enough, especially since only 3 went for extra bases.

-Andre Ethier took an inside 0-1 pitch over the right field wall in the second. He also doubled yesterday so it appears that the knee is feeling better.
-Dee Gordon went 1 for 3, beating out what should have been a routine 3-1 putout at first. He also made some nice plays in the field, spearing an errant throw from Matt Treanor and diving for a ball in the hole that prevented a run. -Josh Lindblom worked a scoreless inning in relief, pitching around a no out error by Josh Fields.
-Speaking of Fields, he struggled with the glove but did manage to pick up his second double in as many games. Mark Ellis also doubled for his first hit of the spring.
-Tim Federowicz failed to collect a hit but did knock in a run and threw out Giants' prospect Gary Brown at second base on a wild pitch.

-Ted Lilly was throwing BP today. Both of the homers looked like they came on fastballs over the middle of the plate. Technically, it's still the first half of the season...
-Matt Kemp went 0 for 2 with a pair of strikeouts. Juan Rivera also went 0 for 2 and struck out once.
-Yesterday's hitting hero, Scott Van Slyke, went 0 for 2 and grounded into a double play with runners on first and second.
-As I mentioned, Treanor was bailed out by Gordon on a bad throw behind a runner at second. Fedex also sailed one into center field but luckily the pitch was a called third strike that ended the inning.
-Ramon Troncoso allowed a solo homer in his only inning, while NRI Jamey Wright surrendered a run on 2 hits.Old friend Ronald Belisario was bailed out by Gordon and a lucky bounce on a ball that hit his foot, rolled to third and was turned into the third out of the inning by Juan Uribe.
