Lookouts Win Fourth Straight

Chattanooga completes fourth straight win against the Pensacola Blue Wahoo's with a score of 6-4.

The Lookouts trailed the Blue Wahoo's right out of the gate with a two run deficit.

"It was early enough to where I felt pretty strongly about us having a chance," Reed said. "We're swinging the bat better. Our situation hitting is creating more opportunities for us to score runs. Three weeks ago that might have hurt but we're doing a much better job of manufacturing runs and it felt pretty good to come back from that."

Chattanooga fired back in the next two innings with back-to-back homeruns. The first came from Rafael Ynoa, and the other came from Angelo Songco, a first baseman who had just been brought up to the Lookouts, on the very first pitch.

"He just got called up and I wanted to get him in the fire, let him get his feet wet and he responded really quick, one pitch and ‘bang' homerun," Manager Jody Reed said. "I was pleasantly surprised, and he adds a left handed bat to our lineup so he's going to be in there."

After tying the game in the second inning the Lookouts fell behind yet again in the fifth inning but pulled out into the lead in the sixth when Chattanooga's Yasiel Puig hit a double, which brought in Miguel Rojas and Joc Pederson for two RBI's to tie the game yet again.

"That's the second night in a row that he's come up with big RBI's," Reed said. "And that's what he needs to do. He's in the heart of the lineup. He's a guy that's a run producer, and we need him to do those, and he's been responding."

But the runs didn't stop there for the Lookouts. Puig was brought in from third by Osvaldo Martinez, who hit a single line drive to center field, giving the Lookouts a 5-4 advantage.

Chattanooga would score one more time in the game when Joc Pederson brought in Ynoa from third after a sharp ground ball to right field, making the final score of the game 6-4.

The Lookouts have one last game against the Blue Wahoo's before taking to the road.
