The third game of the series between the Chattanooga Lookouts and the Tennessee Smokies was anything but boring Friday night.
Chattanooga took the lead early against the Smokies with runs in both the second from Angelo Songco and in the third from Joc Pederson.
Tennessee fired back with three runs in the fourth inning and one in the fifth.
Chattanooga took the permanent lead in the bottom of the fifth when Pederson crushed a ball over the right field wall for a three run homer.
The Lookouts extended their lead even further in the sixth inning after a ground out by Sean Burroughs, which brought in Blake Smith, and a sharp grounder by Brian Cavazos-Galvez, which brought in Rafael Ynoa.
The Smokies tried one last time to get back in the game with three runs in the seventh. Tying the game at 7-7.
But the Lookouts scored the final run in the seventh inning after Osvaldo Martinez singled with a line drive to left field, bringing in Miguel Rojas for the winning run.
This 8-7 win keeps the Lookouts in the running to win the series against the Smokies.
