After being plagued with bad weather throughout the series Chattanooga finally puts together three winning games to take the series from Jacksonville.
The Lookouts attempted to play a double header Sunday but were unable to finish the second game. Chattanooga finished the game that was left at the bottom of the fourth the day before with three runs in the first inning, bottom of the fourth, of the day.
Chattanooga was able to put together two back-to-back doubles that brought in three runs.
Jon Garcia hit the first double to left field and brought in Angelo Songco from second and put Sean Burroughs on third
This gave Miguel Rojas the opportunity to double to left field again to bring in both Burroughs from third and Songco from second.
The Lookouts winning pitcher for the game was Onelki Garcia who only pitched for two innings and was able to strike out one batter.
Andres Santiago started the game on Sunday for the Lookouts and pitched for four innings. Santiago allowed for four hits, and three walks, but also struck out five batters.
Chattanooga lost the second game of the day 9-3.
It took the Lookouts most of the game to find their footing when they played the Suns for the second time of the day. Within the window of a seven-inning game Chattanooga was only able to score in the fifth and sixth inning.
The Lookouts first run of the game wasn't until the fifth inning when Jan Vazquez fit a sacrifice fly out to center field to bring in Jon Garcia.
The last two of Chattanooga's runs came from a double by Songco in the sixth, which bring in Osvaldo Martinez and Brian Cavazos-Galvez.
Due to so much rain during the series the Lookouts were only able to play four games against the Jacksonville Suns. Chattanooga will have to wait until August to play the Suns in a make-up game that was skipped over.
