Is Maeda being setup for success?

Is Maeda being setup for success in 2017?

Having worked in professional baseball in Japan, I have a very pointed opinion on what's happening with Kenta Maeda in 2017.  Kenta Maeda was brought over to the United States to supposedly play at the highest level of baseball.  Anybody who has seen or studied  Japanese professional baseball up close, knows, that it is easily comparable to the quality of Major League Baseball.  A common problem we have with MLB baseball coaches is the need to change players mechanics and delivery approach rather than increase the education, mental approach and baseball IQ.  I personally have concerns as to several changes as well as latest weight gain by Kenta Maeda.  Improving functional movement for arm care is different than needing to change a player in order to take credit for his success.  I guess we will see what happens in 2017 and beyond.
