Rob Segedin is Heating up Spring Training

Rob Segedin was acquired from the Yankees in a trade last year. The 1b/3b right-handed hitter is so far having a great spring with a .462 batting average. He is trying to make the club as a back up to Adrian Gonzales at 1st and Justin Turner at 3rd. He is versatile as he can play in the outfield as well. Segedin made a splash with the Dodgers last year with a franchise record 4 RBI’s in his debut. At the age of 28 he needs to make this team as he has spent the last 6 years in the Yankees minor league system where he had a .280 lifetime batting average. He may see a lot of playing time spelling Adrian Gonzales and Justin Turner as well as in the corner outfield positions.
