Dodgers win nightcap March 10

The second game of the split-squad schedule March 10 went to the Dodgers by a 4-3 margin in the cold at Jupiter. The 57-degree weather and stiff winds chased many of the hardy fans out of the park late in the game. <br><br>

Tanyon Sturtz started for Los Angeles and was KO'ed in the third inning, trailing 2-0 at the time. Tom Martin bailed him out with an important strikeout to keep the damage to a minimum. Andrew Brown worked a pair of shutout innings, allowing one hit, and Yhency Brazoban (1-0) had a pair of hitless innings, picking up the win.

Augustin Montero gave up a run in his only inning and Jason Frasor nailed it down with a near-perfect ninth to earn a save.

Los Angeles added single runs in the fourth and fifth on a double by David Ross that scored Juan Encarnacion, who had singled, for the Dodgers first run and a fifth inning single by Jose Hernandez, a double by Shane Victorino and Wilkin Ruan's grounder tied the game and they added two in the seventh when Ruan knocked in his second run of the game to give the Dodgers the lead and Luis Garcia doubled him across for an insurance run.

Ruan had a pair of RBI and Hernandez was 2-for-2 with a double. Victorino had a double and scored a pair of runs.
