Rain washes out 0-0 game

Rain delayed the start of the game, sprinkled through much of the first three innings, then shut down Atlanta and Los Angeles at Holman Stadium March 16 with the game tied 0-0 in the top of the fourth inning.

Duaner Sanchez took over in the third inning, working out of a bases-loaded jam that resulted from a single, a walk and an error by Cesar Izturis. He gave up a one-out walk and a single in the top of the fourth before rain finally cancelled things.

Olmedo Saenz singled in the first and Shawn Green walked with two out but were left on base. Juan Encarnacion led off the second with a single but was erased by a double play.

The Dodgers had their best chance to score in the third when Wilkin Ruan singled with one out and with two out Saenz walked. A wild pitch moved both runners up but a fielder's choice ended the threat.
