Gagne moves toward save record

Eric Gagne completed his 17th save of the season Friday night against the New York Yankees, moving closer to the all-time Dodger save record. His 124 saves rank below only Jim Brewer (125), Todd Worrell (127) and Jeff Shaw's record mark of 129 saves.

Gagne has recorded 80 consecutive save opportunities dating back to Aug. 28, 2002. In those opportunities he has an 0.75 earned run average with 41 hits allowed and 133 strikeouts.
