Valenzuela to Manage Futures Game

The Dodgers will have contribute the manager of one team and a player on both sides in the annual Futures Game to be played at Minute Maid Park in Houston, July 11, as part of the All-Star festivities.

Fernando Valenzuela, now a Spanish-language broadcaster for Dodger games, has been chosen as the manager for the World squad and will have shortstop Joel Guzman as part of his team. Guzman is currently batting .323 with 11 home runs and 40 runs batted in for Vero Beach.

Las Vegas catcher Koyie Hill has been chosen for the USA squad. Hill is hitting .315 with 21 doubles, eight home runs and 46 RBI for Vegas

The Futures game matches top prospects from all 30 major league organizations.
