Oakland Leads Minors In Winning Percentage

The Oakland Athletics topped the major leagues in farm systems wining percentage. Oakland's six teams in U.S.-based leagues all achieved winning records for an overall mark of 400-295, or .576 percent. The Dodgers tied for 15th in the 30-team field with a 345-342, .502 record.

Cleveland's system ranked fifth in winning percentage at .540, the won three championships plus the the Dominican Republic League title.

Oakland was the only organization to qualify five teams for the playoffs, one more than Toronto, the Cubs and the New York Mets. Twenty-four of the 30 Major League organizations qualified at least one farm team for post-season play.
