The Dogers were searching for people who could provide potent offense in this past draft so it's fitting that they'd come up with somebody whose last name fits his description as a player. Swing a lusty bat he has for he holds most of the University of Rhode Island hitting records and this spring was among the NCAA national leaders in average (.406) and doubles (24).

He kept right on after being chosen in the sixth round , hitting .335-3-26 for Ogden in the Pioneer League. He uses an uppright stance, has a short quick stroke to the ball that has a lift that should provide power. He makes good contact and uses all fields. On the basepaths, he's average. He was a first baseman in college but was immediately switched to the outfield as a pro with satisfactory results.
