Mahomes and Gagne Combine for a 5-4 Vegas Win

Catcher Mike Rose was 2-for-3 and second baseman Willy Aybar was 2-for-4 with his league leading 15th double. He also extended his hitting streak to 10 games.

VERO BEACH, Florida--Sarasota dropped the Dodgers 11-2 with Vero pitching allowing 13 hits nine walks. Andy LaRoche scored the only run for the Dodgers after reaching on a hit by pitch and scoring on a wild pitch. Julio Pimentel suffered his first loss since the second game of the season, allowing six runs in 3.1 innings. Chin-lung Hu had the only extra-base hit for the Dodgers, a double, to break an 0-21 slump. Cory Dunlap went 1-3, raising his season average to .328.

COLUMBUS, Georgia--Charleston collected a 3-1 victory over the Catfish with two of the three runs allowed on wild pitches. Brandon Weeden was the tough luck loser after pitching six strong innings, allowing one earned run on three hits while striking out six. He allowed two runs, the second on a wild pitch. After loading the bases with no one out in the eighth reliever Zach Hammes induced a come-backer to start a 1-2-3 double play. The next pitch Hammes threw wildly to the back stop to allow the third, and final, run to score.
